About Bugbear Lamp

Bugbear Lamp is a small, free collection of tools for tabletop game masters. Everything runs in your browser: no install, no account required, nothing to pay for.

What you will find here

• Twelve generators for the moments a session needs a spark — NPCs, loot, traps, rumors, weather, shops, quests and more. See them all.
• A battle tracker that survives a page reload, with all 330 SRD monsters one click away. Open it.
• The complete SRD 5.2.1 compendium — spells, bestiary, magic items, classes, species, backgrounds, feats, equipment and rules, searchable in English and German. Browse it.
• Eighteen d100 tables for when you need a detail right now. Roll one.

English and German

Every tool and every compendium entry exists in both languages. The EN/DE switch in the header remembers your choice — it stays put as you move around the site.

Where the content comes from

Rules content is taken from the System Reference Document 5.2.1 by Wizards of the Coast LLC, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Everything else — the generator tables, the d100 tables, the tools themselves — is written for Bugbear Lamp.

Still growing

Bugbear Lamp is in beta and new tools land regularly. If something is broken or missing, tell us — that is genuinely how most of this got built.
