A blightthrall was, until recently, a person — a delver, a shepherd, a loom-town guard — whom the Chorus has “continued” against their will. The self is not yet fully scoured; the thrall still wears its own face and sometimes weeps in its own voice, even as it reaches for you with a hand already blooming into someone else's.
