The velvet ox is the spore-cattle of the Velvetfields — placid, ox-sized grazers whose hide grows a soft nap of edible spore-velvet that the shepherds harvest without ever drawing blood. A herd is the surest sign of safe pasture, and a stampeding one the surest sign it has ended.

Traits
Spore-Velvet Coat. A creature that spends a Utilize action to comb the ox's coat harvests a handful of spore-velvet. Eaten within an hour, it grants 2 Temporary Hit Points. An ox yields such a handful once per day.
Charge. If the ox moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a Ram attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 3 (1d6) Bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or have the Prone condition.
Actions
Ram. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) Bludgeoning damage.
