Weapon (greatsword), uncommon
The sword has no point and cannot be used to make a piercing attack. Its edge cannot be dulled, notched, rusted, bent, or blunted by any means, and it never needs dressing. A single stroke severs any nonmagical object of wood, bone, or flesh not more than 4 inches through.
When you hit a creature that is restrained, incapacitated, or unconscious, the attack deals an extra 2d6 damage of the weapon's type.
It will not cut a binding. Rope, cord, chain, strap, hinge, bar, and the leather of a manacle turn it as though it had struck with the flat, and no stroke aimed at one of these has ever taken. It cuts the thing that is sentenced and not the thing that holds it, and the executioner's book records a cord being cut with a knife on all sixty-one days.
