Where the Weeping Front has held too long, a fungal snag drinks the rot until it wakes and walks — a Huge weepwood weeping necrotic fog from every gill, hollowing the ground it shades into a fen of grey water and grey silence. The Deeproot Circle burns them where they stand, because a weepwood that reaches Suppuratehold is a weepwood that has learned to sing.

Traits
Blight Aura. Emanation. At the start of each of the weepwood's turns, each creature in a 10-foot Emanation around it takes 9 (2d8) Necrotic damage and is exposed to blight (a bonded creature makes a Communion saving throw; see Chapter 5). A creature that takes this damage can't regain Hit Points until the start of the weepwood's next turn.
Regeneration. The weepwood regains 10 Hit Points at the start of each of its turns. If it takes Fire or Radiant damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of its next turn. It dies only if it starts its turn with 0 Hit Points and doesn't regenerate.
False Snag. While the weepwood remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a dead fungal snag.
Actions
Multiattack. The weepwood makes two Rotten Bough attacks.
Rotten Bough. Melee Attack Roll: +8, reach 10 ft. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) Bludgeoning damage plus 10 (3d6) Necrotic damage.
Weeping Fog (Recharge 5–6). Constitution Saving Throw: DC 16, each creature in a 15-foot Emanation. Failure: 21 (6d6) Necrotic damage, and the target is exposed to blight and has the Poisoned condition until the end of its next turn. Success: Half damage only.
