Head porter of this hall, eleven years in this room, five men under him. His mark, a cross within a circle, stands against every night's count in the book offered as lot 84, and against the bundle of paddles, lot 90, which he has carried into the Long Room and out of it at every sale of those eleven years. He was taught the shelves and not the letters. He knows the whole hall by the shape of a ticket, and he has never yet been shown to have set a thing on the wrong shelf, only under the wrong number.

Traits
Match by Shape. Asked for a lot by its number, Brust fetches by the shape of the ticket. If the number he is given shares a shape with another number in the hall, he brings the other one: he reads 6 for 9, 7 for 1, and 3 for 8, always in that direction and never the reverse. A creature that has watched one full round of his and succeeds on a DC 12 Intelligence (Investigation) check can predict which lot he will bring for any number named.
Porter's Carry. He counts as one size larger for carrying capacity, for pushing, dragging, and lifting, and for grappling contests made to keep hold of an object rather than a creature.
Actions
Barrow. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage, and the target is pushed 10 feet if it is Large or smaller.
Set It Down. Brust places a held object of up to 500 pounds anywhere within 5 feet, without a check, without noise, and without marking the boards. He will not do this for a buyer, and he will not do it in the Long Room while a candle is burning.
