You touch a seal, band, cord, wrapper, lock, or fastening no larger than 1 foot across that has been broken, cut, drawn, or opened. For the duration it appears and feels whole: the wax carries its impression again with the fractures gone, the cut cord runs continuous, the shackle is closed, the lifted wafer lies down. The seeming holds to sight, to touch, and to weight, and a creature that lifts, turns, or presses the fastening finds it sound.
It holds nothing shut. A door whose seal is repaired this way opens exactly as freely as it did before, and while the spell lasts the false wax will take no fresh impression from any matrix.
A creature that examines the fastening closely can see it for a seeming with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. Attest shows it at once and without a check. When the spell ends, the break is as it was in every particular, and appears not to have been touched since it was made.
