Wondrous item, uncommon
The bell must be hung or set upon its crown and struck with a hammer or the flat of a weapon; it cannot be swung, and it cannot be sounded quietly. Once per day, as an action, you can strike it. Fog, mist, and smoke within 500 feet thin and lift for 1 hour, and areas that were heavily obscured by them become clear. Weather magic of 3rd level or lower that produced the fog ends.
In air the bell has cleared, a tally of the objects in a room comes out the same twice, and a count made twice by two hands agrees. Any check made to notice, count, or match objects in that air is made with advantage.
Since the fracture the note is short and does not carry over water, and the fog does not lift within 10 feet of the bell itself. That much stands about it while it stands anywhere, whether or not the bell has been struck at all.
