Wondrous item, uncommon
Fill the reservoir — a pint and two gills, enough for eight cups. Three times a day, as an action, you can set the figure walking toward a creature within 15 feet that can see it and has a cup, glass, or bowl before it. The figure halts and pours exactly as much as that creature will in fact drink of what is offered, and nothing is spilled. If the creature will not drink at all, the figure halts and does not pour.
From what it does, you learn whether that creature intends to accept what is offered to it in the next minute: all of it, part of it, or none. It reports nothing of why, and it makes no distinction between a guest who is not thirsty and a guest who is not a guest.
